1944 Dodge Command Car WC 56 military vehicle. Unfortunately, I don’t know the history of this vehicle. It’s my father’s, and he has owned it for approximately 20 years. He used it for parades and political functions. Because of his health, he can’t assist me with this listing or information. It runs, drives and stops and has what I believe to be the period correct 6-cylinder flathead engine. Some parts in the engine compartment (some wiring, air filter, horn, etc.) are new and modern and not period correct. My father painted and equipped it to replicate General George S. Patton Jr’s command car when he commanded Third Army. It is equipped with a replica M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun which replicates firing using propane, oxygen and carbon dioxide. I also have an original folding convertible top frame and cover, extra hood door, extra floor pan, windshield, two machine gun covers, extra oxygen and carbon dioxide tanks and some misc. parts. To my knowledge, there isn’t any rusted out areas and everything is solid.
