1959 British Saladin Mark II Heavy Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle
1959 British Saladin Mark II Heavy Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle Six Wheel Drive Totally Rebuilt with New Rolls Royce 8 Cylinder Engine & M.O.D. rebuilt Transmission. It is licensed to drive on the roads in the State of Tennessee. It has less than 900 total miles on it and less than 200 of those miles since its total restoration.
This Saladin underwent a complete disassembly and restoration from 2008 to 2012. At a cost of over $200,000 most all parts and equipment were replaced or rebuilt with new old stock parts and or equipment. It was stripped bare, sandblasted, and totally restored. This Saladin is registered with the Tennessee Department of Motor Vehicles to drive on the road.
It has a 76 mm L5A1 main gun, one coaxially mounted 1919A4 Browning machine gun and a second 1919A4 which are included. Both the 1919A4s and the 76 mm gun must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer. The breech ring and breech plug for the 76 mm gun must be transferred on a BATFe Form 4.
It is a full time six-wheel drive. Its six tires are new made for it in the USA with less than 200 miles. The transmission is a five speed in both forward and reverse with a fluid flywheel drive (semi-automatic transmission). Additional accessories and spare parts which take up three pages.
