1986 AM GENERAL 6×6 . EXCELLENT CONDITION. CUMMINS WITH ALLISON TRANSMISSION. IVE OWNED A FEW OF THESE AWESOME BEASTS AND THIS IS MY LAST ONE. BEST ONE IMO. ORDERED WITH THE HARD TO FIND LOCKERS.
I was going to keep and possibly bob it.
It runs perfect. Transmission and transfer case are in excellent condition. I only put a water pump on. It seems like the last two I had needed one. No issues with the cooling or anything else. Don’t use it enough even though I’m constantly invited to events as long as the 5 ton is with me lol. Great truck whether your really into them or a beginner wanting one but never pulled the trigger. I’m going to be moving and many things have changed. Unfortunately I must sell one of my favorite things. This includes 4 new tires 53 inch Michelin’s and a military trailer. I have the titles on both. Yes they are Street legal. Bob it or by 2 more Michelin’s and put 53 inch on the truck. Bob it and use the trailer as the covered bed with tarp. The original 7 tires are great and reliable also michelin’s. I have the other 53 inch tires that I was either going to bob the truck or ad them with two additional tires. Also I will include a 24 volt to 12 volt reducer and a new all weather Winter plug in for colder areas. I just never installed it.
The Marines are the ones who ordered these with the lockers.
Incredibly it makes all the difference. I noticed it pretty quick living here in Montana.
Please ask questions. $500. to my paypal right after auction. Then the rest wired or sent via ups within 3 days. Please be serious. This is a great truck. Fly in drive it home. The last one I sold went on a flatbed semi and he’s out of Montana and makes west coast runs every week.
I kept his number. Things change. I really don’t want to sell, however we sometimes have to sacrifice the things we really like.

Turbos have more moving parts. I’ve only owned non turbo 5 tons and 2 1/2 ton military trucks. I’ve driven the turbos. Great trucks but these are also just as good with less moving parts.
