This restored DUKW has been modified but not altered from original which means that it can be restored as an original or kept as is as a road and water worthy vehicle.
Engine, transmission, and transfer case are original and in good running condition.
Engine just refreshed with new water pump and intake manifold
Modifications include upgraded carburetor and ignition system and a conversion to 12 V system
Additional lighting and electrical control panel. Electrical system has been converted to 12 volts with 100amp alternator and a back up battery system
Three additional Electric bilge pumps will keep it dry while docked. While supplementing original pumps.
Electronic dash controls entire electrical system independently with re-settable circuit breakers and isolation switches
All new wiring
Lights upgraded to 12V
Added turn signals, to insure highway safety and boat navigation lights to be legal for night cruses.
AB battery switch (B backup battery wired but not installed.
Amp, voltmeter, oil pressure, and temp gauges are new.
The ship has been used in the past five years for fundraisers and celebrations in parades and flood rescue operations.
