Owned by PACCAR in North America, DAF is currently in the same family as Kenworth and Peterbilt. The truckmaker dates back to 1928, when Hubert “Hub” van Doorne founded the company as Commanditaire Vennootschap Hub van Doorne’s Machinefabriek in the Netherlands. Production started in a small workshop on the grounds of a brewery. Today, DAF manufactures trucks in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom for sale throughout Western and Eastern Europe, and exports them to Asia, Africa, and North America. This 66 YA example originates from the initial DAF company in the Netherlands.

This DAF 66 YA Cabriolet gives the riders a feel of driving around base during vintage war times. Before its retirement, this DAF was used for the Dutch armed forces. The DAF has a Renault 1,108 CC Inline 4 engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The two wheel drive gasoline engine produces 54 horsepower and has a top speed of approximately 70mph. Behind the wheel of this 64,931 Kilometer Military style vehicle is a blast!
