THE GOODShe starts right up. Idles smooth.Runs, drives, steers and brakes well. Seven “as-new” tires, all new tubes & flaps and correct/restored combat wheels. Less than 20 miles since mounted. Combat wheels painted correct 319 OD from Gillespie. Carburetor professionally rebuilt. Strong battery. Fuel pump works excellent. Original fuel tank treated with ethanol resistant coating.Valid Florida Title.
THE DETAILSLook the pics over carefully. The truck is 99% as I received her. Any imperfections occurred in her previous life.Examples…Has a T-214 engine, not the pedigree T-223. Wrong carburetor & air cleaner. Zenith fuel filter missing. Currently running off temporary fuel tank. 12 volt electrical system. Slight damage to tailgate & rear top bow. Turn signals added. Incorrect had lights & tail lightsHas dings, wear & tear.
SPECULATIONI believe she was built in 1944.Possibly served in the French Army at one time. There is a plate in French on the dash. The windshield frame has a modification (added gusset) I’ve seen on other trucks used by the French Army.
This truck can be enjoyed as is. Would love to see justice done to her & restore to perfection. That’s the winner’s call.
