Recently acquired brought in at our centre at bocking antiques near Braintree an interesting original ww2 kriegsmarine naval german u boat U-18 submarine bridge bell .the bell which was purchased with other military items came from the family of a wartime naval officer who lived locally .It measures 12cm across base and 11cm tall complete with ringer . Bell was acquired when he was stationed in the Mediterranean near the Black Sea and the balkans and is said to have been traded for various items taken from the U-18 .
